Warren Schlote

Hey! I'm Warren. I'm an award-winning reporter and photographer at The Manitoulin Expositor on beautiful Manitoulin Island, Ontario. I've recently graduated from media studies at the University of Guelph-Humber, where I have done a lot of journalism and production work. I have studied with Pulitzer-winning journalists, investigative reporters at The Toronto Star and CBC as well as radio broadcasting professionals.

I started up a weekly news show during my third year which enabled my peers to also hone their skills, and through which I learned a great deal about behind-the-scenes media production.

My hobbies include photography, exploring, music, maps, puns, railways, and not writing bios in the third person.

I really enjoy meeting new people and challenging myself in various new endeavours. I recognize that I am very fortunate to live in a country of so many vast opportunities, and that I have had a number of experiences to make the most of what I've been given.
