Warwick Info
Ten years ago Warwickinfo.net began a conscientious effort to bring more visibility to locally owned businesses, events, and organizations by creating a community-wide website directory which focuses on the three villages and eight hamlets of Warwick NY, plus Sugar Loaf and Vernon NJ. What began with 50 pages has grown to over 1,200 pages, with over one million page views annually.
Its primary mission continues to be raising the prominence of local businesses and organizations.
Over the course of the last ten years Warwicikinfo.net has become the first place that visitors and residents consult for the arts and local entertainment. It's also the only directory that lists not-for-profit organizations located in the Warwick Valley.
Traffic has increased to more than 80,000 page views each month, with a high visitor repeat rate of 30% and a visit duration that lasts between two and two and one-half minutes. The site gets a steady stream of calls from residents and visitors alike about event details, commuter information, and hard to find phone numbers; it has become a defacto community concierge.
Warwickinfo.net has been listed on the home page of many prominent local hospitality sites in Vernon NJ, Florida NY, Greenwood Lake, and Warwick NY, along with more than 300 independent outside websites that promote it, further reinforcing its popularity.
Dozens of businesses and organizations who list with Warwickinfo.net have received additional exposure on Cablevision’s TV News 12 and Neighborhood Journal programs, on YNN cable news, WTBQ, WAMC Northeast Public Radio, and in national or regional magazines and newspapers.
TEDx Manhattan's “CHANGING THE WAY WE EAT” free viewing event comes to Warwickinfo and Albert Wisner Library on March 1, 2014, led by Food & Farming Experts from 10am-6:30pm.
Warwickinfo.net is currently working on a variety of initiatives that will continue to showcase businesses and the arts in the Warwick and Vernon Valleys for both residents and visitors to the area.
