Michaela Washington

I am 22 years old. I transferred to VSU from Temple University which is located in Philadelphia, PA. I am a army brat so I'm pretty much from all over, but I spent a great deal of my life in Maryland so that's where I say I'm from.

I am a junior Psychology major as well as a licensed massage therapist. My heart lies with those who are underprivileged and overlooked. I hope to use the degrees I accumulate through the years to help inner city kids whether it's through clinical counseling or through social work and eventually through teaching as I'd like to get a degree in teaching and curriculum. Learning is a never ending process and I plan to continue gaining knowledge until the end of my days.

I love reading, poetry, spoken word, basically any form of art. I love to see people express themselves. Sometimes we are so focused on the negative aspects of humanity that we forget how much beauty and life we are capable of creating. I'm just one of those people who believe in love. Maybe if we plant enough seeds this thing will catch root...
