I'm a principal technologist who works with builders, technology leaders, and enterprise executives — helping them figure out what technology makes possible, and then actually making it happen.

I've spent over thirty years leading engineering teams, championing open source, and running innovation programmes. Along the way I've had a front-row seat to a few seismic shifts — the internet, the web, cloud, and now generative AI — usually arriving early and staying curious.

Right now, most of my thinking is focused on agentic AI and what it means for the craft of software development. I work with developers who don't want to wait to find out.
