Dr. Wassim Zhani completed an undergraduate degree in psychology at Wheaton College, subsequently pursued graduate training in counseling psychology at the University of Chicago and completed a doctorate in clinical psychology at Yale University. He currently has specialty certification in clinical psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology, and previously in addictions by the Illinois Certification Board. His clinical interests have included work with children, teens, adults, diagnostic assessment and addictions. Dr. Wassim Zhani uses a broad range of cognitive behavioral and insight-oriented techniques in the psychotherapy and counseling process.
Dr. Wassim Zhani has taught a broad variety of graduate psychology and counseling courses at Northern Illinois University, Wheaton College and New York University, as well as internationally in Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. His research and publication interests have included addictions, psychometrics, clinical training and supervision, and the integration of spiritual values in psychotherapy and supervision.
