Every good writing teacher must be a writer, too. We cannot think like writers, and teach our students to also think like writers, if we do not become writers ourselves.
I became a writer and a teacher longer ago than I can recall. I began teaching English at Colchester High School in Colchester, Vermont in 2002. Additionally I have also served as the Humanities Department Team Leader since 2005.
I enjoy writing, reading, yoga and trail running and basking in the beauty of Lake Champlain with my partner, Sarah, our son, August, and our golden doodle, Penny.
