Wayne Black comes from Indianapolis, Indiana where he was raised by both his mother and father along with two sisters. While in high school Wayne got into wrestling, a sport that would change his life forever. This sport would lead him onto college and into his future path as a leader.

Wayne currrently is pursuing a Master's Degree in Business Administration and would like to start a non-profit that is focused around mentoring and developing youth leaders through the sport of wrestling.

When asked about his career as a college wrestler Wayne said, "No, I didn't get what i wanted, but i got what i needed. The journey to placing eighth in the country was what i needed to learn about myself in order to make me a better person. Wrestling is sport that requires perseverance and mental toughness in order to be successful. It is a sport that will eat you alive an spit you back out. It showed me how to balance things, to persevere through the good and bad times, so that i can be successful in wrestling and in life. I am satisfied with my journey."
