Wayne studied Jazz at the prestigious Leeds college of music . After his time at the college he delved into the mainstream music world and went on to sell several million records as a writer and producer beginning with George Michael’s backing singers Pepsi and Shirley and their international top 5 hits “Heartache” and “Goodbye Stranger”. Wayne has collaborated with a wide and diverse array of artists as both a writer and producer including Billy Ocean, Ruby Turner, Earth Wind and Fire, Junior Giscombe, Stevie Winwood, Jonathan Butler, George Michael, Kenny Thomas, Mica Paris, Nareena Pallot, Janet Kay, Lulu, Alishas Attic... and played with jazz greats such as Coleman Hawkins and Tal Farlow. Wayne is currently receiving international critical acclaim for his brainchild the Virtual jazz band, and has been the artistic director and chairman of the jury for the Bucharest international jazz competition since 2009. He is also the owner of an independent record label and music publisher called Virtual Media Enterprises which has developed some great new talent including rising UK soul star David Mensah, KG Golden, Jag and established music icons such as Junior Giscombe better known for his smash hit "Mama Used To Say". The latest release on VME is the collaboration between Kenny Thomas, better known for his hits "Thinking about your love" and "Outstanding" and Wayne called The Thomas Brown Affair. The album is called Just The Two Of Us.
