For his voluntary service as Honorary State Chairman of the Republican Business Advisory Committee, he received a 2003 National Republican Committee Leadership award. In 2004, the National Congressional Committee presented Mr. Hartung with the prestigious Ronald Reagan Gold Medal for his contributions to the economic health of his community in Alabama.
Wayne Hartung maintains memberships and affiliations with various civic and charitable organizations. In 1986, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, the social fraternity, initiated Wayne into its Alabama chapter. Additionally, Mr. Hartung participates actively in the Mobile Chamber of Commerce. In conjunction with Christ United Methodist Church, Mr. Hartung's business sponsors, on an annual basis, the largest charity antique and classic car show in the state.
