Westley Bayas III is the principal owner of Magnolia Strategies, a full service public affairs management, political consulting, policy development and program execution firm. Most recently in this role, Westley has served as a freelance trainer for organizations such as Wellstone Action and Change the Game, training organizers across the country to use data and analytics to create people center advocacy and electoral campaigns. He also recently served as Deputy Campaign Manager with the Kristin Gisleson Palmer for New Orleans City Council campaign, where he lead the data and field operation that won a 111-vote victory against an incumbent out of over 13,500 votes cast.
In addition, Westley has worked as the Project Coordinator for The Welcome Table, New Orleans Director with Stand for Children New Orleans Deputy Director of the Neighborhood Engagement Office with the City of New Orleans. Assistant to Mayor Mitch Landrieu for Constituent Services, Southern Louisiana Regional Field Director for the Democratic National Committee (Organizing for America) and the Director of Community Outreach & Development for local nonprofit The Phoenix of New Orleans. Bayas, a New Orleans native has been involved with several community enrichment organizations such as Liberty's Kitchen, Awesome Foundation-New Orleans, Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans & New Leaders Council. Bayas is a life member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. and holds a B.G.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Louisiana State University & A&M College.
