Witt Cordell

I am Witt Cordell, and had the pleasure of growing up in the wonderful city of Charlotte, North Carolina. One thing that I love doing is scuba diving. The summer of 2016 I was fortunate enough to travel to Thailand for three weeks with the goal of building two water towers for an impoverished school in the northern mountains of Thailand. After the water towers were finished we flew down to the eastern coast and all got our scuba certification. Their are many levels to a scuba certification but the most basic is known as the Open Water certification. This is where we I fell in love with this exhilarating sport. I find it extremely fascinating that there is a whole world that lives under the ocean and so much of it has still never been even seen before. The most recent time I went diving was this past Christmas break when my family took a trip to the British Virgin Islands to dive and this was the coolest place I have ever been to dive. We saw a bunch of sea turtles and even some manta ray's which are normally very shy creatures. Scuba diving has become one of my favorite activities however I wish I could dive more often but living in Charlotte does not make getting to a large body of water very easily.
