RJ has architected large scale web software solutions and led engineering teams for over 17 years. His origins in IT systems, infrastructure, and web application development fused together with a strong sense for business and marketing empowers him to bridge the natural vacuum that exists between these two industries. This combination enables him to identify business needs and deliver solutions from concept through strategy, development, implementation, and delivery. As Technical Director, he most recently founded the west coast development practice for Siteworx, LLC. There, he leads the west coast software development team, architects solutions, and engages with and fosters accounts, focusing on eCommerce and web content management.

Prior to Siteworx, he was the Director of Technology for Jennifer Lopez’s disruptive t-shirt marketplace, Teeology. Through Deloitte Consulting, he led the e-commerce web operations for a large-scale enterprise and ensured that their e-commerce platform could handle well over 1000 sales transactions per minute. RJ has also been responsible for developing real-time, high transaction, global monetary applications for Churchill Downs and Youbet.com, and he competed directly with Brightcove with his video publishing, distribution, and advertising platform for ROO Media. As a principle, he managed a technical consulting firm, worked closely with Fortune 500 partners, built content management systems, e-commerce platforms, location-aware mobile proximity applications, led off-shore resources and developed over 35 web brands and verticals. He values leadership over management and enjoys mentoring teams toward success.

RJ has over 15 years of technical expertise in the Microsoft technology stack, including ASP.NET (MVC, Web Forms, Ajax), C#, SQL, Visual Studio, MS SQL, TFS, Windows Servers, IIS, Jscript, and classic ASP. He also has extensive experience with the LAMP stack, JAVA, and his project management methodology of choice is Scrum.
