After completing my PhD at Rice University in 1994, I began teaching statistics and developing Internet resources that help students understand difficult statistical concepts. I also began to develop a complete online data analysis package. This package, StatCrunch, has now grown into one of the most heavily used software tools for analyzing data. I love all things data and I hope to convince others to do so as well!

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my two young daughters. I serve as a jungle gym, fashion expert and an occasional source of laughter for them. When I am not working or parenting, I like to travel, watch movies and stay current on trends in consumer electronics. I am a sucker for all manner of electronic devices.
