Meeting Planner and Coordinator at CFABS and Operational Coordinator at GCC in Montreal, Québec, Canada
Wei Garofolo is responsible for meeting planning and coordinating for CFABS, a non-profit scientific organization aiming to promote the exchange of knowledge and sharing of ideas on on analytical and bioanalytical sciences and regulations.
Wei Garofolo is also the operational coordinator for GCC, another non-profit organization with more than 50 CRO member companies on the council that meets routinely to address bioanalytical issues and determine the best practice in the outsourcing industry.
Wei Garofolo interacts with speakers, regulatory agencies, CROs, analytical vendors and many more professionals in order to organize and plan events for the global bioanalytical community and local mass spectrometry communities across Canada.
Wei Garofolo's role at GCC is also crucial for maintaining a cohesive CRO "voice" through which they can express their opinions by generating scientific documents and communicating with pharmas and global regulatory agencies.
The workshops, seminars, and discussion group meetings, symposiums Wei oversees are also important because they provide ongoing education opportunities for scientists and students in cities across the United States and Canada.
Wei frequently travels for work, and she always enjoys exploring other countries. She is currently in Rome, Italy, where she is taking in the sights and sounds and exploring the entertainment the city has to offer.
