Michael Weiss (50) is an award-winning serial entrepreneur. Born in Jerusalem, he has lived in the city ever since.
Michael served in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesperson’s Unit, finishing with the rank of lieutenant.
After completing his military service, he worked as a reporter for 'Maariv', Israel’s second-largest daily newspaper, where he specialized in investigative journalism.
In 2003, Michael founded ‘Wave’, a strategic consulting agency serving public, private, and corporate clients across Israel.
In 2006, he co-founded ‘Scoop.co.il’ with Michael Eisenberg, general manager at Aleph VC. The platform hosted over 3,000 active contributors and appeared weekly on Israel’s Channel 2.
In 2008, Michael launched GoJerusalem.com, which evolved into a holding company behind several leading tourism websites in Israel, including GoJerusalem.com, GoJerusalem.co.il, GoDeadSea.com.
In 2012, he co-founded 'Yalla Basta', an award-winning culinary tourism company that brings Israeli food markets to life for over 50,000 annual visitors. It is widely considered Israel’s leader in culinary experiences.
In 2016, he co-founded 'bitemojo', the world’s first app offering self-guided food tours via smartphone. Active in 14 global cities—including Rome, Berlin, Singapore, and New York—bitemojo received multiple innovation awards from VISA, Booking.com, the WTO, and others.
In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Michael founded ‘Mask&Co’, Israel’s top-selling designer mask brand, which provided tens of thousands of citizens with stylish, 100% cotton protection.
In 2025, he launched ‘Timeless Love Publishing’, a digital brand for global romance novels, dedicated to uniting readers through powerful love stories and supporting underrepresented authors worldwide.
Michael holds a BA in Mass Psychology and an MA in Communication & Public Opinion, with a focus on place branding.
He is married to Yael and is the proud father of Roei, Michal, Yoav, and Ronie.
