I am a PhD. Candidate at the University of California Berkeley, Haas School of Business with the Management of Organizations (MORS) group. Prior to this, my experience as a computational physicist in the defense science industry made me appreciate the central role that social forces played both in the abstract shaping of innovation policy and in the concrete direction of resource flow. This appreciation, combined with an innate fascination with computers, data and empirics, has led me to my current pursuit to study Organizational Theory and Entrepreneurship through the lens of Computational Sociology. My advisor is Professor Toby Stuart.

My research explores both self-employment and high potential entrepreneurship. In the former I examine the approach and presentation strategies of freelancers seeking hire. In the latter, I am interested in the sociological antecedents that affect start-up initiation and survival.

I received an M.Sc. in Business Administration at UC Berkeley-Haas, a B.A. in Physics and a B.A. in History, Philosophy and Social Studies of Science and Medicine (HiPS) at the University of Chicago.
