When I was 9, I wanted to be a bank teller when I grew up – that is, until I discovered all that money wasn’t actually mine. At 13, I wanted to be a veterinarian but just scrapping through School C science put paid to that. At 17, I wanted to be teacher and at 21, a military historian.

In fact, I've worked as a checkout girl, an office manager, a journalist and a library assistant and now can’t quite believe my luck at scoring a dream role at Auckland Libraries, where I am paid to play with and talk about social media all day.
