Wemimo Folorunsho

Hi, I’m Wemimo Folorunsho. Based in Lagos, I work at the intersection of sound and strategy.

With a decade of experience, I’ve evolved from the airwaves to the business side of music. My journey began in radio at Royal FM Ilorin, and Inspiration FM Ibadan, where I spent years championing sounds across the SouthWest. During that time, I supported artists such as Olamide, Phyno, Reminisce, Falz, and Kizz Daniel early in their careers, and earned a notable shout-out from Lil Kesh on Track #8 of his debut album, YAGI.

Beyond the mic, I’m a builder of culture-driven experiences. From curating the Winqy Sugar & Friends events to serving as a Smirnoff X1 Ambassador, I’ve consistently worked at the meeting point of music, brands, and audiences. My transition into Talent Management led to Road Management and A&R roles with Warner Music’s first continental music artist, Superstar Ace at the time, and more recently, Ashidapo (Ova Music).

I’m the voice behind The W Xperience Podcast, a music commentary, interview & culture podcast; I work as a freelance A&R Consultant supporting artists with direction, strategy, and long-term vision. Whether I’m behind a keyboard or a contract, my focus stays the same. Finding the soul in the song and the pulse of the audience.
