Hey, I’m Wendell. I’m a Software Engineer based in Manila, Philippines.

I’ve been working in the IT industry for over 12 years, during which I’ve had the opportunity to design, build, and deliver end-to-end software solutions for both startups and large enterprises.

My work goes beyond application development. I enjoy turning business requirements and complex technical problems into practical and scalable solutions—from solution design and architecture to hands-on development, system integration, deployment, and production support. I’ve worked on both on-premise and cloud-based systems across industries including Commerce, Advertising, Fintech, Hospitality, and Enterprise Technology.

A significant part of my experience has been in API and systems integration, where I’ve designed and developed B2B and B2C solutions that enable different platforms and services to work together seamlessly. I enjoy solving the challenges that come with integrating complex systems while keeping solutions maintainable, reliable, and scalable.

Beyond engineering, I’m passionate about mentoring and developing people. For more than six years, I’ve mentored and coached software developers, facilitated technical discussions, conducted code reviews, helped establish technical standards, and contributed to improvements across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). I believe technical leadership is not just about making technical decisions, but also about helping people grow and enabling teams to do their best work.

I’m a Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) and Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I), with a strong interest in cloud technologies, software architecture, system design, and Agile software development. I continue to learn and explore new technologies while staying grounded in practical engineering principles.

At this stage of my career, I’m particularly interested in the intersection of software engineering, solution design, and technical leadership—building systems that solve real problems while helping the people and teams behind them grow.

My journey in software engineering continues to evolve, but one thing remains constant: I enjoy building good software, solving difficult problems, sharing what I learn, and helping others become better engineers.
