Wendy LaForce
Saint Petersburg, Florida
Wendy LaForce can only be described as, the entertainer’s entertainer. A songstress from the tender age of 13, Wendy has done it all. From performing with major philharmonic orchestras, to opening for Abba as a solo act in 2012, her tenure and exposure in the music business is a testament to her ability to deliver in any genre, in any setting, in any situation. Having fronted for the likes of Kickin’ Again, Angelo and Company, Broken Roads, Chrome and Jimmy James, among others, Wendy can cover any style from modern/classic rock and top 40’s to funk and jazz without missing a beat. Currently, Wendy lends her classy/sassy stage presence to her variety dance band, Tongue and Groove where they quite successfully play large venues, concert halls and corporate events across central Florida. Making it in the music business requires diversification and the equivalent dedication of, at least, two full-time jobs. As such, Wendy holds down the equivalent of at least two and perhaps more with her diversified portfolio of entertainment engagements. Including her current stint with Tongue and Groove, Wendy is also a full-time solo entertainer and cruise director with Starlight Dining Cruises and recently she has partnered with RJ records as an artist and producer where she spends 1-2 days a week in studio. After relocating to the Tampa Bay area in 2010, Wendy embraced another cause with the same devotion and dedication as she gives her music. As a believer/defender/protector of the live, local music scene, Wendy is not only the Music Cooperative Director for Connecting Local Music but also hosts two radio programs dedicated to making sure up and coming musicians have a voice, are recognized and are heard. Through Life Improvement Radio After Dark and her programs Nite Moves and Taste The Music, Wendy often hosts in-studio interviews with local bands while showcasing their music and offering a reliable, artist friendly outlet for local exposure. When not singing or lending her voice and influence to other musicians, you can find Wendy either enjoying the local music scene as a fan of the many bands she supports, or as the host of, yes, a third radio program, Coffee Talk With The Rock Diva where she offers a non-conventional take on current events, news and life-style choices. There are many ways to experience all that Wendy has to offer.
