My life is defined by the roles I play. First of all (and most importantly), I am the beloved daughter of God Almighty – a princess of His courts and one He loves with all His heart. I put that in black and white to remind myself of my status in His eyes. Because I can often forget. Secondly, I am wife and best friend to my husband, Floyd. Thirdly, I am also mother and best friends with my three awesome daughters – Tanya, Kristy and Mandy. My fourth role: Grammie to ten of the most precious jewels in the world – Adriana, Erilyn, Amelie, Kellen, Isabella, Sophia, Chelsie, Grayson, Josiah, and Levi. I am also blessed by three young men who have chosen to join our wacky but loving family – my three sons-in-law, who I am so proud of – Tom, Bob and Jorge.
I am employed in a job that I love and have been since 2001 – as a 911 dispatcher/call-taker for Fire, EMS, and Police. I believe it was a gift from God and I daily strive to see how He can use me in helping hurting people. There is a part of me that craves to do some kind of mission work and I don’t know where that may lead me in the future. I find comfort in the beautiful little house that we are in now in a small southern Alberta town (pop. 1500) and I don’t like the thought of ever leaving it. However, I also want us to be faithful if the Lord opens a door for another change in our lives…so we will see where He continues to lead us.
