Wendy Tan

A Singaporean planning academic, urban designer and architect based in the Netherlands. I love cities, urban areas and the mobility of people and things within them. I appreciate good design in my built environment and have an obsession with beautiful visualisation of the pulses and movement of cities and regions through maps and infographics.

I'm currently assistant professor for infrastructure and transportation planning at the University of Groningen. My research expertise ranges from governance and implementation of Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) to social equity in mobility. I am currently exploring research of gender in mobility, planning for pet friendly cities, retail and mobility relations and elderly mobility needs.
