With an excellent work ethic instilled by the grandparents who raised her, Wendy Waren is known for her personable, get-it-done approach to life. She is described by her peers as a results-driven professional with a captivating personality whose leadership style encompasses Southern hospitality.

Waren is committed to improving the business of cuisine through her position as the Vice President of Communications for the Louisiana Restaurant Association. From advocacy, education, tourism and workforce development, she has a passion for advancing the identity and reputation of the hospitality industry and has been told on a number of occasions that she is one of the best advocates for Louisiana’s restaurants.

For successfully overcoming adversity in the field of crisis communications, she was named one of Gambit Weekly’s 40 Under 40 for her professional response to the BP Oil Spill. She was also personally recognized by New Orleans CityBusiness as a Woman of the Year for her work in her New Orleans community battling blight.

Waren is a graduate of Tulane University with a degree in Media Arts and minors in philosophy and ethics. In 2008, Tulane selected her as the spokesperson for its television enrollment campaign. She is an executive mentor with the Loyola University School of Business and an avid volunteer with numerous organizations and charities.
