Wendy Wollenberg
Chicago, IL
Wendy Wollenberg can’t remember a time when she wasn’t writing about something she loves, whether interviewing legendary artist Ed Paschke while at WHERE Chicago magazine or covering fashion shows and local designers as the editor of Chicago Shopping. Her career encompasses journalism, communications, marketing, advertising and public relations. While earning her degree in print journalism at Columbia College, Wendy interned at WHERE Chicago magazine, a top international travel publication, where she eventually went on to become editor in chief in 2001. After nine years at WHERE Chicago, Wendy decided to broaden her horizons at AOL CityGuide in 2003, where, as managing editor, she oversaw a staff of 10 editors and numerous freelancers across the country while working with the AOL/Time Warner entertainment network. More recently, Wendy has been the Chicago bureau chief of BizBash Media and a content editor at NBC Chicago. Wendy has worked on a wide array of freelance projects, including writing for a variety of lifestyle publications, copywriting and authoring Night + Day Chicago, a guidebook covering her beloved hometown.
Wendy also received her 200-hour yoga teaching certification in August 2013 and plans to share her love of yoga with the world.
