To help women raise their self-esteem and achieve economic independence through sustained employment.

Our Vision

To advance positive change in the lives of women, their families and the community, one woman at a time.

WEN is a nonprofit organization that offers job-search training and resources, individualized coaching and professional case management. We also provide a shoulder to lean on, day care advice, professional wardrobes, transportation assistance and fresh starts. We specialize in turning dreams into reality, heartbreak into hope, despair into determination. We are WEN. Where women work together to find new jobs. And new lives.

As a proud partner of OneKC for Women, Women’s Employment Network is the door to a better life, a future of financial self-sufficiency and confidence. For women entering or re-entering the workforce, WEN is where to find foundational skills and support. Our graduates are empowered in many ways — professionally and personally and through a community of support. As women become self-sufficient, they are able to be an inspiration to others through sharing their stories, mentoring and, in some instances, starting businesses of their own.
