Hi. My name is Celeste and I'm originally from Pittsburgh, PA. My husband and I relocated to western Ny for jobs in 1989, and have been here for 26 years now. I'm a 2nd generation Italian American on my fathers side, and German American on my mothers side.

The Italian is dominate, in looks and personality. Growing up, we spent every Sunday at our grandparents for a big, Italian dinner. If you lived within driving distance you showed up. I loved it. We had the kids table and it was a big ordeal when you got to move up to the adult table. It was my grandma that taught me how to cook. I lost my mother at a young age, so grandma nona was my guiding light.

I decided to start blogging to share my love of food, family, life, love, friends and humor with others. I love to experiment with food and create recipes that I find are inexpensive yet quick and flavorful. My family likes bold flavors so I use a lot of spices and herbs. Because I want to keep everyone healthy, I try to make foods that are good for you. Many of the dishes I've learned over the years have been changed to a healthier version without losing flavor.
