Weronika Chaberko

London, United Kingdom.

I fell in love with Yoga the very first time I set my foot in a yoga school in Krakow (my home city). In no time, Yoga enriched and brought meaning to my life. After a few years of intense practice of Sivananda Yoga, I was convinced by my teacher to become a yoga teacher myself and it was one of the best things that have ever happened to me.
I've been teaching ever since I completed Sivananda Teachers' Training Course in 2007: first in Krakow, then in Edinburgh (where I moved to study social anthropology) and finally in London. Over the years, I shared the joy of Yoga with dozens of students of all genders, nationalities, ages and abilities (including the disabled). I could witness how Yoga has transformed my students' lives, not only on physical but also emotional and spiritual levels.
In 2011, I was lucky enough to spent 5 months in India, the cradle of Yoga. Whilst there, I completed the Sivananda Advanced Teachers' Training Course. I also went through my first Vipassana course (intense 10- days long meditation) which was quite a profound experience. I visit India regularly, both for travelling and deepening my Yoga practice.
It was only when I moved to London that I've heard about Thai Yoga Massage and intuitively knew it's going to become a part of my life, too. I have completed Thai Yoga Massage Practioner training in 2013. As both Yoga and Thai Yoga Massage are closely interrelated, the process of learning it was almost natural for me. I appreciate meditative and spiritual aspect of Thai Yoga Massage which makes giving the treatments equally gratifying as receiving. The most rewarding of all, however, is observing wonderous effects of the treatments.

My personal practice is as important for me as teaching and massaging. I spend 2-3 hours daily doing yoga and meditating. I call it a positive addiction. Addiction, because I really feel something is missing if I have to skip a session. Positive, as I've never heard of side effects of yoga! If I don't do any of the above, I try to spread the knowledge about deeper than physical levels of Yoga via my FB page, cook some fabulous veggie food or simply enjoy a book or have a stroll in a park.
