Wes Mellow

My Name is Wes Mellow. I’m from St. Louis, MO and have been working in Sales for the last three years in Washington, D.C. I moved to Washington, D.C after graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in Economics and Spanish. Growing up in Missouri, many people I first meet are surprised to hear I went to Virginia given the distance from home; however, I sought the opportunity to be on my own and develop my character both personally and academically. I am the oldest of three boys in my family. Consequently, it has always been my responsibility to lead by example. As a result, I pursued leadership opportunities in areas of interests such as sports and student governance. I was captain of the water polo team for two years in high school as well as Athletic President. At UVA, I was social chair of my fraternity and played on the club water polo team. To excel academically, I have found fitness to be critical to alleviate stress.
