Ruan Wessels

Evander, Mpumalanga

Origin

I was born in a small town of a population of about 3 000. The town originated to sustain mining folk and their families in the early 1900's.

My parents was divorced close to my birth and i was raised by a single strict mom. I descend from german bloodline (from my mom's side) as well as french (my dad).

Childhood

I was nurtioured in a middle class enviroment and was quite a naughty kid (so my mom says). During my primary school years I was a bit of a chubby kid but had lots of friends. I was a bright youth and academically achieved a bit higher than average.

Teen Years

At the age of 14 my mother and I relocated to Pretoria. I was diagnosed with Schureman Disease (problematic arched back groth) so I had to wear a back braise till i was 18. So that ruined my social living.

I prospered academically and found interest in singing so I joined a studio where I was educated in singing techniques by a professional artist. I preformed with a great deal of local artists and enjoyed people enjoying my talent.
