Chart Westcott is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Ikarian Capital, LLC, a long/short equity biotech focused hedge fund that launched in January 2016. Born and raised in Dallas, Chart Westcott was a standout football star in middle school and high school. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2007 with a BA in history. Afterwards he returned to Dallas to work as an analyst in his family office, Westcott LLC and to attend SMU law where he graduated in 2011. After passing the Texas bar on his first try, Chart Westcott became a licensed Texas attorney and began working at his family office as general counsel. Chart Westcott currently serves on the board of the Sixth Floor Museum (the Kennedy Assassination Museum), Turning Point USA advisory board, Texas Real Estate Commission. Previous affiliations include the National Association to Protect Children, Economic Advisory Council of the Dallas Chamber of Commerce, and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dallas, and work at his family office, Westcott LLC (www.westcott.com). He has one dog, a Norwich Terrier named Hemingway. In his free time he enjoys reading history books, studying investing, real estate, lifting weights, traveling, cooking, scuba diving, shooting sports, researching new technologies, and learning foreign languages/cultures. While he no longer plays football, Chart Westcott still loves watching the NFL, especially the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoys poker, chess, gin rummy, and other games of strategy. Having lived abroad in Spain, Mexico, and Japan; Chart Westcott speaks conversationally fluent Spanish and elementary Japanese. One of his favorite hobbies is reading Wikipedia for fun, though he has never been nerdy enough actually to edit Wikipedia pages. While no longer as actively involved in politics as he once was, Chart Westcott is still searching for that free society at the end of the rainbow.
