Wes Wheeler

Wes Wheeler is a veteran of the pharmaceutical industry but has a passion for his family business. The Wheeler Yacht Company is in revival mode after being dormant for nearly 50 years. The original Wheeler Yacht Company was established in 1910 by Wheeler’s great grandfather. In its 50 year history, the company built over 4,000 boats for hundreds of customers and earned several awards during its service to the US Military during two world wars. One of its most well known products was the 38 foot ‘Pilar’ built for Ernest Hemingway in 1934. The Wheeler Yacht Company is currently registered in the State of Delaware and will offer limited production of new boats in the future.

Wes Wheeler is CEO of Marken, a company that provides high quality logistics and courier services to the pharmaceutical industry. His thirty year career has allowed him to add significant expertise and professional management to the company since being appointed in 2011. Over three decades Wheeler has gained broad practical experience in the pharmaceutical and petrochemical industries. His experience in drug manufacturing, formulation development, supply chain management and construction is also relevant to the success of Marken. His resume includes P&L management at Patheon, a leading drug manufacturing company, Valeant, a leading pharmaceutical company, DSM a leading contract manufacturing company and GlaxoSmithKline.

Wheeler is applying his broad background and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry to Marken’s strategic vision which is to become the industry’s leading supply chain provider.
