Hi, I'm Will; chances are if you've found this page, you came from my Instagram account. A bit about me: I'm in my 30s, and I collect hobbies. Photography was my first and is still my most-used hobby. I also collect watches, backpack, rock climb, kayak, sail, read, and write.

Rock climbing is a huge passion of mine. Bouldering in particular has allowed me to get out solo and work on the projects that push my climbing skill. Growing up in the Midwest, we didn’t really have climbing when I was a kid. Family vacations to Lake Tahoe every year were the only real exposure I had to the outdoor lifestyle until I was a teenager and did my first backpacking/white water/climbing trip at 15.

In our annual week in Tahoe, my brother and I would load a backpack with water bottles and food, grab our pocket knives, and head out into the mountains around the cabin, our parents just warning us to be back by sunset.

These days I work at REI, helping others get the benefit of my technical experience and knowledge, while also spending as much of my time climbing as I can. I can be found in the climbing gym usually five nights per week, sometimes six or seven. When I’m not climbing indoors, I’m usually either hiking, bouldering outside, or spending time with my two mini Australian Shepherds, Obi and Fynn.
