Palm Oil

Exactly what is palm oil? Palm oil is obtained from the fruit of the oil palm tree. In combination with soy oil, palm oil makes up 60% of the world's vegetable oil production!

In developing areas palm oil assists with economical growth. However there is growing concern that much palm oil production is not environmentally sustainable. Sustainable palm oil production is the solution - Certified sustainable palm oil (CSPO) and palm kernel oil (CSPKO) is produced by palm oil plantations that have been independently audited and found to comply with the globally agreed environmental standards set by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO).
