Hattie Whisenant

Hi, I'm a 54 year old recent widow (I lost my husband(of 32 years) Ronnie to end stage lung cancer on September 15, 2012). I have a 14 (nearly 15) year old son, John, and we live in western NC, i, in a beautiful rural area, on 11 acres of land (we own it, have since 1990). It's quiet, lots of wildlife, secluded, our nearest neighbor is 1/2 mile away, (just the way we like it). It's been difficult since losing Ronnie, but, I have John to take care of, so, I'll make it, it'll be rough, but we will be alright.

I enjoy reading, walking in the woods, and spending time with my son. We have 3 adult cats, Mica, Sissy, and Tabby, who had 6 kittens on 2/9/13. We have 2 dogs, Ace a black dachshund mix and Ellie, a 4 1/2 month old pit bull puppy (she is so sweet and loving), and we have 3 fish, Moby, a calico fantail, Friar, a large goldfish, and a black algae eater, that looks like a shark, his name is Jaws.

I'm a homebody, and like things quiet and peaceful.
