Errol Hillis

Errol Hillis is from Kispiox, BC, which is within the Gitxsan Nation of the Nothwest Coast of Canada. His training started in 1986. most recent traning in 2005/2006, completed two years at the Ksan village. Since then, it's been a learning experience that will continue into the future. He'll always be grateful for the teachers from beginners to the advance lessons of Master Carver. In addition, he takes pride in the style and quality of work that is produced, with confidence. Errol believes that a person can accomplish anything the imagination provides. In working with a buyer, Errol's passion is to create custom designed on a choice of five meduims or all combined.

There are a variety of ways to be inspired. Those nature walks and shows, sure improved my vision. It is like a jungling act. One month on wood, three weeks on engraving jewelry, one week on Fabric for example; Buttom blankets, wall hangings, back to sqare one, drawing with Univeral energy.

A quote I heard when I was a kid. " When the student is ready the teacher will appear". I give homage to all teachers of Art and Life so I can continue Creating expression from the spirit world.
