Simon Gordon-Smith

Advisory Hotel consultant, assisting in investment & acquisitions in the hotel market, Simon's usual role is to act directly in conjunction with clients, sourcing and evaluating target properties, through to achieving the best price possible during acquisition or driving higher returns out of operations – Simon's main background is hotels, though he has also worked in the City on a hotel investment fund and in the London residential market. He also set up a concierge service for individual London properties – As well as being retained and commissioned in both the Country House and the London Hotel Markets, he also acts as the owner's representative in an Asset Management Role for certain clients.

A brief bio.............

25+ years experience within the hotel and leisure industry, both in operational management and strategic consultancy, following graduation from The Savoy Hotel Management Scheme, which he undertook in London and Europe. Following four years as part of the management team at the Capital Hotel, Knightsbridge, he worked on a number of high profile projects including Hanbury Manor & Country Club and the East Sussex National Golf Resort & Spa and has experience in refurbishments and launch of hotels and leisure complexes.

As a consultant he has worked for numerous clients ranging from single unit hotels through to international branded groups – offering strategic support and advice, primarily in the fields of added value, marketing, PR and maximising returns from existing operations. As well as acting for and advising a number of clients purchasing hotels he is a property consultant for several residential and commercial estate agents and Property Search companies.
