Whitney Oliver Peake

Bowling Green, KY

I am a native Kentuckian, currently living and working Bowling Green, KY at Western Kentucky University. I have an M.S. and Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University. I teach courses in entrepreneurship and small business management - subjects I am truly passionte about.

My research portfolio currently centers on image and legitimacy. I see any business’s lifecycle as a struggle for legitimacy and am working with a team of researchers to explore this phenomenon in new venture, small business, family business, agribusiness, and stakeholder contexts.

I enjoy reading good books, brainstorming business ideas, learning from my students, baking, and spending time with my family, friends, husband (Jeff), and dog (Nelly).
