Whitney Vandiver

Houston, Texas

I am an innovative problem-solver with a penchant for engaging environments that focus on teamwork. I am talented in writing, editing, presentation creation, public speaking, and teaching. I aim to expand my abilities within a multidimentional workplace that encourages me to strengthen my talents and help build my personal brand and reach my company's goals.

I recently joined the University of Houston-Clear Lake Writing Center as a Program Coordinator for freshman projects after working with ELS Language Centers as an Academic Director for a year. I have taught college courses in Composition, Humanities, and Linguistics as well as providing writing and editing services as a freelancer since 2013. My primary interests are in freshman composition, semantic analyses of quantifiers, and personal productivity.

I earned a Ph.D. and M.A. in Linguistics from Purdue University as well as a B.A. in English from the University of Central Oklahoma. I strive to be a life-long learner and develop my professional and personal abilities whenever possible.

I am interested in developing professional connections with those who share my interests, whether personal or research-oriented.
