In regard to the upcoming season of the wondeful, most exciting holiday week of Mardi Gras, I will give you a look into my life and upbringing. In a strange manner I am Mardi Gras. Festivity, happy, gregarious, content with life, loving food and entertainment (centerpieces of Mardi Gras) are all aspects that can be attributed to my personality. Mardi Gras might have impacted me as a child since I am from New Orleans and have been around floats and parades for the past 19 years of my life. My mother also started a parade called Muses in 2000, so mardi gras and I have become quite intertwined. I am an only child, yet I love being around other people and almost find it necessary to surround myself with others. Surrounding myself with others does not mean being in the middle of a drunken crowd on a parade route, however, I enjoy the company of others who share their ideas and perspectives of the world. I am open-minded, do not hesitate to give my opinion as well as to listen to others, and am outgoing. Amongst the bustling cars, flying tri-color beads, festival balls, and people's homes, I can be found. Whether I am Mardi Gras or Mardi Gras is me, I do not know; but the two of us share many similarities.
