Believing that every child can learn math, I have spent my teaching career focusing on students with special needs. This includes, but is not limited to, children with autism, ADD/ADHD, children with selective mutism, organizational differences, gifted and talented, and on-level learners. As an educator, l understand that being a child can be stressful and school can cause anxiety, so my approach is holistic. I truly want to understand the needs of the child and family and tailor a plan for tutoring that makes life happier and more peaceful for all.
My educational background began at Towson University, where I earned my bachelor's in education. From there, I have taught various levels of mathematics in elementary through hire school grades, as well as 15 years experience tutoring. In 2018, I also earned a Masters in Leadership and Curriculum Development from the University of Maryland. I have been teaching in Montgomery County for 10 years.
Clients love that I advocate for their child and will do what it takes to support in learning. I am available by phone between sessions and really become a mentor for the child. My ultimate goal is to help to shape happy, well-rounded students. I am excited to help in all math courses from elementary through pre calculus. I can also help with English homework, test prep, and organizational skills.
