Peter Wiesner

Born in England in 1945, I lived in Berlin, Germany from 1848 to 1955, and then in Santa Monica, California. I graduated from UC Berkeley and went to the University of Pennsylvania for grad school. Later I received a doctorate in education from Rutgers University, where I worked in public affairs. In 1989, I joined IEEE to develop educational programs for public outreach and professional development. Throughout my career, I produced social documentary films and videos, the most recent ones on technology and engineering focused on sustainability issues, such as renewable energy. I completed a documentary on wind energy for airing on public television and am currently completing a documentary on solar energy. My wife and I have lived in Bucks County, Pennsylvania since 1980. Our two sons and their families live in the Philalphia area.
