Vladimir Kiselev
Cambridge, UK
Hello everyone! Let me introduce myself. I am a postdoctoral fellow in LenovereLab at Babraham Institute, Cambridge, UK. While studying Physics and Mathematics (with a little bit of biology :)) at MIPT, Moscow, Russia I found myself excited about biophysical modeling of various living systems. Since then I've been working on it most of my time! If you are interested a detailed description of my career so far can be found in my Linkedin CV.
Currently I am working on understanding of cancer mechanisms in living cells, specifically on PI3K signalling pathway. By the wise will of fate for the last year I've been also doing Bioinformatics work in LuscombeLab which turned into a fascinating project that investigates mechanisms of RNA polyadenylation.
In the future I would love to work on human brain activity. Namely, I am very interested in the long-term episodic memory, thinking activity and dreams. I believe that the Human Brain Project is going to be the next revolution in Biology! I am also excited about the biological data integration, especially about emerging "Digital Cell" projects.
A growing (!) list of my publications can be found at Google Citation or PubMed. Hope you enjoyed reading about me! :) Thanks for your patience!
Great thanks to Irina for the amazing background photo.
