Wiky Neva is a South African recording artist, songwriter, and creative mind whose music tells stories of ambition, faith, heartbreak, and resilience. Known for his authenticity and lyrical depth, Wiky Neva transforms real-life struggles into sound, creating music that speaks directly to the soul.

🌱 Early Life & Struggles

My journey in music wasn’t easy. I faced rejection from my fellow Lekompo artists, and dealing with that pain was one of my biggest challenges. But every setback only fueled my drive to grow stronger. Even in moments of doubt, I stayed true to my vision—believing that my story and my sound deserved to be heard.

🎶 Breakthrough & Collaborations

I am grateful for the people who recognized my talent when others didn’t.

• Buddysax believed in me and introduced me to Tribby Wadi Bhozza, who gave my song Mkhaya a chance. That moment meant everything—it showed me that my music had a place in this world.
• The original beat for Mkhaya came from Son Bommin, who first produced the track. Later, the project grew when Mellow SA stepped in, collaborating with Son Bommin to refine and complete the song. It was a true sacrifice, a reminder that art sometimes requires patience and teamwork.

These experiences taught me that music is not just about hits, but about resilience, connections, and staying grounded.

🙏 People Who Shaped Me

• Geetag – A brother and mentor who believed in me when I had nothing. He gave me a laptop and even lent me his soundcard whenever I wanted to record. Without him, Wiky Neva might not exist. Together, we started the Maruleng Podcast, where I worked as a host before deciding to fully dedicate myself to music. I left him there with full support, wishing him only the best in his journey.
• Malome Vector (late) – Many compared me to him, saying I sounded like him. He once told me, “You’re going far in life.” His words remain a driving force, and I honor his memory by pushing forward with my own voice and story.

🚀 My Vision as an Artist

I want to be different. My music is about more than entertainment—it’s about healing, inspiring, and breaking barriers. Every song I release reflects my growth as a person and an artist. My debut project, Ten Hoseng (10 in the morning), is a symbol of new beginnings, faith, and ambition.

Through my journey, I’ve learned that rejection is not the end—it’s just redirection. My goal is to build a name and legacy that inspires other independent artists to believe in themselves, no matter the obstacles.
