PRESS RELEASE BIOGRAPHY: Johan Wilhelm (Willie) Stegmann Thirty-six-year-old Willie Stegmann is no stranger to the world of fine dining, event producing or glamorous entertainment. Born in Pretoria, Willie graduated from the University of Pretoria with a B Com (Hotel and Tourism Management) in 1995, honing his experience as restaurateur while managing a series of large bistro-type, privately owned restaurants in Pretoria and Cape Town. North Indian food guru, Sabi Sabharwal – founder and owner of the Bukhara Group of Restaurants – hired Stegmann from 1998 to 2004 to oversee Operations and Marketing for his popular group of fine dining restaurants throughout South Africa. Yet love was beckoning, and in late 2004, Stegmann relocated to Durban to join his former partner and take up reigns as Operations’ Head for an event management company. After additional experience as an executive for a food and beverage contractor to both the Sun International and the Artscape Theater in Cape Town, Stegmann decided to take a bold step, launching his own hospitality management consultancy, Creative Hospitality Management (CHM), in March 2010. He hasn’t looked back. Stegmann’s CHM consults, among others, for the Romney Park All Suite Hotel & Spa in Green point, Cape Town, the Coco Latte Express restaurant in Sea Point, as well as the Bukhara Group of Restaurants.
