What do I want to be when i grow up?
I have always wanted to work for a company that promotes outdoor recreation and sports, like Red Bull or Cliff Bar. I want to be able to work with my passions, which consist of anything outdoors, camping, backpacking, snowboarding, rock climbing, etc. If I get to be outside for work, it will feel a lot more like play time, and what could be better than finding a fun job?
Why did you choose WSU?
I picked WSU for a number of reasons. It has the right location for me because it is far enough from Seattle that i feel far from home, but it's also in-state, so i can make the trip back if i want to. I was also blown away on my first visit here, mostly because I noticed the college town atmosphere and the cougar pride. I have not regretted a single second of my time here. WSU has brought me so many opportunities to succeed and without the people I have met here and my experiences, I wouldn't be who I am today.
Where is your favorite place to study?
My favorite place to study is the commons in Eastlick Hall, because there is rarely anyone there and it is the perfect temperature for studying. You can easily study by yourself there or bring a group and sit around a table to work on a project,
What advice do I have for new cougar parents?
Parents, fall of your student's freshman year is always really tough. They are more excited than ever to receive new freedoms and their natural instinct is to push away from you. My advice would be to believe in your student. They are capable enough to get to WSU, and that should instill some faith that they will continue to mature in to successful men and women. Additionally, I would advise that you keep a strong relationship with them, but not by smothering them. Make sure they know that you will always be there, and I have no doubt they will be great Cougs.
