Bill Johnson, Willamette Writers

Portland, Oregon Area

Willamette Writers' goal is to provide and encourage a creative environment and support system for current and aspiring writers. Both published, self-published, screenwriters and aspiring writers are invited to join. Dues are $45 a year. Need help writing a novel? A screenplay? Promoting a self-published novel? This is a good group to join.

The Willamette Writers conference the first weekend of August brings to Portland literary agents from New York and film producers and agents from Los Angeles, plus a full slate of writing workshops and opportunities to network. Find out more at http://willamettewriters.com/wwcon/

FilmLab accepts short scripts (under 7 pages) and one script is produced each year and shown at the conference.

Willamette Writers has also begun the Timberline Review, a literary magazine now accepting submissions.
