Salü!
I am native from Sion (VS/Switzerland). After graduation in Physics at ETH Zurich in 2010, I pursued a doctoral program at the Institute for Theoretical Physics, ETH Zurich. Since its successful completion in 2016, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Argonne National Laboratory through the Postdoc.Mobility fellowship of the Swiss National Science Foundation
My research focuses on vortices in high-temperature superconductors; their dynamics and pinning by material's defects.
I love to spend time with my wife and daughters on cycling or canoeing tours in Switzerland and Germany. Recently we started discovering the central United States. I cultivate an active contact to my friends from all over the world.
Following my passion for music, I have performed in various constellations, including small a-capella groups, vocal ensembles and as lead singer in the blues band Night Shift Zurich. I am currently making first steps as song-writer and find my inspiration from Pentatonix, Bodo Wartke, Mark Uwe Kling, Sonny Terry, Georges Brassens, Mani Matter, and many more
