Will Blodgett is the Founder and CEO of Tredway, an affordable and mixed-income real estate developer headquartered in New York City. A former Division I college football player, Will is constantly pushing the limits of possibility whether it be as an investor, developer, father or board member.

Prior to founding Tredway in 2021, Will was a founding partner at Fairstead. During his eight-year tenure, Will grew Fairstead into one of the nation’s largest owners of multifamily housing and set the vision for the firm's affordable housing strategy, bringing innovation to the industry through the use of data, empathy, and technology. One of his flagship development projects was Park 79, an affordable rental building for extremely low-income seniors and formerly homeless individuals, located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Will’s understanding of the foundational role housing plays in people's lives and track record of constructing thousands of affordable homes has been widely recognized by the media, nonprofit organizations, and the industry at large.

Beyond his work in affordable housing, Will is known for his charitable endeavors and involvement in causes that support underserved youth and emphasize the connection between sports and academics Will serves on the board of New Heights Youth, Inc., a basketball-based youth development organization that creates opportunities for student-athletes to rise to their potential on the court, in the classroom, and in their communities.

Growing up as a self-described “kid with a chip on my shoulder and a passion for every type of sport,” Will struggled academically until he learned to harness his energy and competitive drive on the football field. After earning a scholarship to Yale University, he continued his education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Sloan School of Management, where he began to study real estate. It was at MIT that Will developed an interest in using data and technology to solve society’s most pressing and intractable problems, starting with how to provide homes for those in need.

Will has secured his place among the visionaries forging a path forward to create the next era of real estate in America. He appears on the Commercial Observer's 2024 Power 100 list and was named "Innovator of the Year" by the same publication in 2020. Will has also been recognized as one of the most powerful people in real estate by Crain's New York Business and City & State.
