I'm a freelance writer, designer, and art director specializing in games and fiction.

In addition to co-founding Gameplaywright Press with Jeff Tidball, I founded the game design for Storium and help direct the Shared Worlds writing and world-building camp. Here in Chicago I co-founded Story Club South Side to help expand the local storytelling scene.

After putting in some years as a developer at Atlas Games, White Wolf Game Studio, and Green Ronin Publishing, I'm freelancing again. My designs and fiction have been published by Wizards of the Coast, Fantasy Flight Games, Pelgrane Press, and many more. My work in scripts and dialogue extends from podcasts to comics to video games.
