My name is William Foster. I was born and raised in Macon, GA, just a few hours from Athens. I went to a small charter school called ACE. I'm now a sophomore at UGA majoring in Finance.
Ever since I started running, it has been a major part of my life. My dad introduced me to the sport of running when I was in the 5th grade, and it was his passion for the sport that inspired my own. I started by joining my school’s cross country team in middle school. I spent those developmental years of my life running, and it has taught me many of the values that I now hold myself with. It taught me about discipline, but also about humility.
Running taught me how to get out of my comfort zone. I met many people I now call good friends when I traveled to different events with my dad and participated. As I get older I hope to one day achieve some of the things that my father and his father achieved as runners. Running has given me many opportunities in my life, but most of all it allowed me to create lifelong friends and goals that I can stick with for as long as I am physically able.
